Scientific Research Work

     Shenyang Pharmaceutical University is one of the senior pharmaceutical education and scientific research centers of our country. In the field of the theory and practice of new dosage forms of pharmaceutical preparations and solid preparations, in the field of study on the compound traditional Chinese medicines and the leading compounds of new medicines and the active components and quality control of the tradional Chinese medicines and natural drugs and in the field of the study on pharmaceutical matabolism and pharmacokinetics, our study level is in the lead at home. In the course of 9th Five-Year Plan the university undertook over 240 vertical research projects of the key basic research program projects (973 project), key projects of the National Fund of Natural Science, the common projects of the National Fund of Natural Science, A and B projects of the Fund for Outstanding Youth, national development program projects of high-tech application departments, National Key Research Projects, national fund for new drugs etc. from the State, Province or City and gained over¥16000000 of vertical scientific research outlay, signed 178 technical and trade contracts with large and middle type of pharmaceutical enterprises, 67 agreements, the volume of business of the contracts was over ¥ 64000000. The crosswide scientific research outlay received was over ¥36000000. Over 50 certificates of new drugs have been gained and over 70 patents have been applied. Over 3600 papers have been published in the influential magazines at home and abroad. Over 90 projects of achievements have been appraised. Over 80 prizes for the development and technology have been gained. 40 monographs have been published. In the University there is an Engineering and Technical Center of Chinese Patent Medicines of the State Ministry of Science and Technology, a key laboratory of Evaluation of the Safety of New Drugs (preparations are being made for the construction), the Research Center of Natural Drugs of the former SPAC, and the Key Laboratory of Pharmacokinetics and Drug Matablism of the Administrative Center of New Drug Research of the former SPAC, the Key Laboratory of Quality Standards of Traditional Chinese Medicines of Shenyang. The University develops basic research and practical research simutaneously. In recent years the scientific research achievements of the university have been transferred to pharmaceutical enterprises continuously. Over 80% of the research achievements have been put into industrialized production and have gained better economic and social benefits.
