Center of Instrumental Analysis

    The Center of Instrumental Analysis of Shenyang Pharmaceutical University was set up in 1975 with the approval of Ministry of Health of China. In 1997 the Science Commission of Shenyang set up" The Large Precise Instrument Net for Common Use in the Shenyang Region". Our center was one of the units with the most instruments in the first group.
    Now there are 10 technicians. Among them there are 4 professors and senior engineers. They mainly undertake analyses and tests of drugs and related substances, structure indentification in the reports for approval of new drugs, standards of the quality and stability, studies on bioequivalence of pharmaceutical preparations and on the methodology of pharmaceutical analysis.
    In the center there are the following advanced instruments i.e. Bruker ARX -300 nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, Finnigen LCQ liquid chromatograph-mass-mass spectrometer, Shimads QP5050A gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer, Bruker IFS-55 infrared spectrophotometer, Shimadz UV-2201 ultraviolet spectropho tometer, Hitachi 650-60 fluorespectrophotometer, Perkin-Elmer 241 MC polarimeter, Shimadz LC-10A high performance liquid chromatograph, Shimadz GC-17A gas chromatograph and Zeiss G RI made in Germany.
